Year 7 sees the transition from Junior School to Senior School.  It is with a mixture of trepidation and excitement that pupils embark upon this journey.

 

Here at Grittleton we recognise this and endeavour to make the transition as smooth as possible.  At the end of year 6, all pupils are invited to attend an Induction Day, where they will have the opportunity to meet their fellow peers and their new form tutor, who will stay with them through to year 11.

 

The first morning in the Senior School is spent getting to grips with the time-table, new subjects and the layout of the school.

 

At Grittleton we feel it is very important that the pupils can bond socially during year 7, and to encourage this each year we participate in a different whole year non-curricular activity.  These have included team building exercises at Hullavington Barracks and at the Cotswold Water Park and camping experiences using the grounds and facilities at Grittleton House.
