Introduction

 

Flying Start Nursery provides a warm and welcoming start to life at Grittleton House School.  Our aim is to provide high quality care and education in a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment.  Our children grow in confidence, independence, skills and knowledge through well planned, purposeful play and activities both indoors and outdoors.  The well qualified, experienced and enthusiastic staff work in partnership with parents to support and encourage their child’s development.

 

Flying Start occupies three well equipped classrooms on the ground floor of the school.  The Nursery also makes extensive use of the adjoining newly refurbished Service Court area.  We have our own secure outdoor play area and access to the wide range of facilities of the school including the beautiful grounds, swimming pool and PE room.

 

Our Nursery and Pre School is registered with Ofsted and our staff members have qualifications ranging from qualified teacher, Early Years Professional Status (EYP) and NVQ level 2 & 3.
